Thank cod this year is over! 2022 was supposed to be the year of recovery. I do not know about you but it did not feel like it. More jabs for boosters. Then jabs for the diseases that have been held at bay because COVID was dominant. Masks on. Masks off. Keep your distance. Nice to shake your hand. We started the year with Omicron blasting its way through the masses like a post-holiday hangover. 98,777,220 people in the US infected by COVID since 2020. 1,077,303 sadly passed away.
On the personal side, it was a year of moving forward. I launched my website. Started Amplify Club and Coffee Chats. Took on more clients, which gave me the hours I need to get my ACC. Began Wednesday Wisdoms. Helped an organization with their strategic planning. Went to a pottery retreat in Newfoundland (highly recommend going to Fogo Island!). Spent a week of relaxing and drinking wine with my husband along Seneca Lake, NY. Reconnected with old friends and met some new ones. Laughed a lot. Saw my godson/nephew get married and begin his new life with a wonderful woman. Started to go back into the world of the living.
My goals for 2022 were fairly simple:
Stay healthy. Don’t get COVID - CHECK
Commit to coaching and helping women leaders - CHECK
Rebuild mental reserves - CHECK
Lose weight - well maybe next year
So 3 out of 4 is not bad. Yay me!
For 2023, I have been thinking about what I would like to accomplish. Whereas 2022 was about new things, 2023 will be about improving. Helping more women finding their courage and using their voices. Focus more on gratitude for the people in my life. Stay healthy. Hold tight my biological and chosen families. Take my husband to Italy to see the David. And yes, lose that COVID weight.
2023 will be a year to breathe and heal. It will be a year to grow. It will be a year open to possibilities. It will be a year with you all. Thank you all for being part of my adventures.
